London-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Cat Burns has enjoyed a truly meteoric rise over the last year and a half. When lockdown first hit in the Spring of last year, Burns had just started out posting clips online, mainly through Tik Tok. Within a year she’d amassed well over half a million followers, had been signed by RCA Records, and was the face of a Tik Tok advertising campaign. Not bad work for someone who had been rejected by several labels before embracing the social media platform.

Burns hasn’t looked back since and her new single Into You is a smooth summer song that is building on her incredible momentum. Over a gentle beat and acoustic flourishes, her stunning vocals weave a tale of meeting someone new and instantly feeling a connection but not wanting to move too quickly. She sings: “'I’ve never felt like this before / Already breaking down my walls / After one conversation / You're so fucking amazing / I hope I get to see you more / Should I call you up? / Is that dangerous? / 'Cause I don't wanna scare you off before it starts”.

Writing on her official Facebook page, Burns said: “...and just like that it’s out. ‘Into You’ is out now!! You can now go listen to the song and watch the video until your heart is content and then some. Thank you to everyone involved it truly took a village to make this happen. thank you to Twiggy Jalloh & Ro Reveur for being amazing in the video i’m so happy that people get to see how pure your love is... I wrote this tune w/ Jonah Sounds Charlie Moreton & Yamurai GG in literally like 2-3 hours the song just wrote itself. i can’t believe it’s been a year since i’ve released anything, i hope you guys love this tune as much as i do.”

The single is also accompanied by a video directed by Anna Fearon.
