The English songwriter and producer Alfie Templeman has released a pop/electro bop. This latest track, called “Hello Lonely,” makes his upcoming album “Radiosoul” sound pretty promising. The song is highly energetic but not annoyingly so. It has a tight groove but does not feel controlled. There are lots of fun sounds throughout that keep you engaged: horns, electric guitars with effects applied, and of course, Alfie’s vocals cutting through the mix in a very nice way. He sings most of the song in falsetto but maintains good power throughout. The English songwriter and producer Alfie Templeman has released a pop/electro bop. His new album, "Radiosoul," is set for release on June 7th, and the album is going to cover some existential themes that Alfie thought about during and after the pandemic. This seems like something a lot of people will be able to relate to. In the track "Hello Lonely," he talks about his struggles with keeping social connections at the same time as his musical career is pushing him forward. The smaller the artist is, the more relatable the audience might find this message. However, the larger following an artist has, the more likely they are to face struggles with maintaining friends, just like how Alfie talks about here. When the crowd hears a large artist complain about things, some say, “What do you have to complain about with all that money?” I think, in either case, the message of “Hello Lonely” from Alfie offers some interesting insight, paired with a really banging song.

His upcoming record, "Radiosoul," is going to have a lot of capable collaborators working on it. We see folks like Nile Rodgers, Oscar Scheller, and Dan Carey all pitching in on the production of the record. Now, if you don’t know who these acts are and you like what Alfie makes, I highly suggest you also check them out. Alfie talks about how his travels across the US inspired him to work with many different acts on the record and thus also to actually make the record. We can’t understate how important it is for an artist to leave the studio every once in a while and look for things that are inspiring to them in the world. In general, of course. So Alfie has already proven with this track that he can talk about something important and still make it fun and listenable. With that being said, go listen to his latest release, Alfie Templeman, and see if you find something to think about, something to dance to, or both at the same time.
