in Latest

The highly anticipated new album from British band Coldpay is said to be in its final stages according to the Coldplay “Roadie” blog.

The blog, written by an author simply known as Roadie#42 said that Chris Martin and the rest of the band were in the final stages of recording their new album with string arrangements and backing vocals now being added as some of the last touches.

Roadie#42 wrote: “There's no better aural equivalent of the bursting growth of spring than the laying on of backing vocals.”

The blog continues: “Brian (Eno) is back in the fold this week and the fellas are gathered around the mic for much of the time. It's a tremendous thing to get close up to. When the guys are belting it out with the track on headphones, all that can be heard in the room is the blast of harmonies. It's hug, powerful and yet completely unaided by technology, just pure, organic human bloom.”

While Brian Eno has come as the producer for the album the Coldplay guys have called back Davide Rossi, the arranger of Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, to add his own touches to the final product.

Roadie #42 quotes Chris Martin stating that he said: “Maybe this album won't be so bad after in terms of hyperbole and enthusiasm, that's pretty excited talk around here,”

There has been no announcement from the award winning band as to what the album will be called however it is expected to be released to the public in October this year.
