Beat-Herder, the UK's most eccentric and exuberant festival, is set to return for 2023. The festival, which runs from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th July, is renowned for its playful, hedonistic atmosphere, and its 20+ whimsical stages, world-class DJs and live acts. For those lucky enough to have limited tickets this year, the festival will last four days, starting on Thursday, with a mashup of global icons and emerging talents. Pendulum, Alison Goldfrapp, Confidence Man, Dub Pistols, Wilkinson, Bad Boy Chiller Crew are amongst the first announcements for 2023 to headline the festival's main stage throughout the weekend.

Beat-Herder began as a free DIY party in 1998, distinguished by an overwhelming sense of community, and has since become a fan favourite. The festival's reputation as one of the friendliest festivals in the UK can be attributed to its loyal followers, friends, and families who create new memories in a bold and barmy atmosphere each summer. After a two-year hiatus, Beat-Herder returned in 2022 to welcome back their loyal family with one of its best parties to date.

This year, the festival is thrilled to announce the return of the legendary Dub Pistols, who have been tearing up festival stages for 20-plus years and have just released their ninth studio album 'Frontline.' Other notable acts include the British rock band Peter Hook and The Light, Jungle Brothers, and reggae icon Horace Andy, who will be playing with his full band, Dub Asante Band.

The Toil Trees stage, set in a majestic woodland and Beat-Herder's birthplace, will be headlined by one of the UK's best-loved selectors, Skream, who brings his decades of dubstep to this magical space. Joining him are Scottish DJ and music producer Ewan McVicar and several others.

The festival is also known for its surprises, and this year is expected to be no different. While exploring the many wacky and wonderful stages, there are secret tunnels that connect various areas, and even a hidden indoor swimming pool. There's always something new to explore, not to mention the array of standout fixtures, features, and bar areas that are scattered amongst the many stages, featuring amazing attention to detail. One never knows what they will find next.

With more acts to be announced, Beat-Herder 2023 promises to be a technicolour escapist bolthole set in the scenic backdrop of Pendle Hill in Lancashire for music lovers across the country.
