Tayler Holder has released a track titled “Climb My Way to Heaven”, featuring Christian music artist Cory Asbury. The chorus sings, “I know I can’t climb my way to heaven, but I can fall.” This line encapsulates the message of having faith in God and accepting that whatever happens was meant to be. For Christian fans who resonate with the writers' sentiments, this message can be greatly comforting. The track blends elements of country and pop, resulting in a highly listenable, soothing mix. Overall, the song delves into Tayler Holder's inner thoughts about his faith in God and struggles in life. Holder rose to fame on TikTok and still maintains a significant social media following, but he has also emerged as a prominent songwriter. It's evident that he's taking his music career seriously and aims to establish a strong foundation with each release.

Holder is set to perform at the Good Molecules Reverb Stage at Bridgestone Arena during CMAFest 2024. He has received a lot of recognition in the country scene in the last few years and has expressed his gratitude for this. I think this track sounds like something we could have heard from a pop/country track 10 years ago, with a little bit better engineering. I am just making a neutral observation about that, because I really think there is something wonderful about genres that stick to their sound. Then there is also something wonderful about genres that rapidly change, and new genres that are created. Country as it is presented by Tayler Holder in Climb My Way to Heaven is here to stay.

I personally have not listened to a whole lot of Country music. I have, however, listened to enough of it to say that I hear some similarities between "Climb My Way to Heaven” and the song “Whiskey Lullaby”. In Whiskey Lullaby the theme is a bit different and it does not directly talk about quarrels with god himself. It does however talk about quarrels and I think country music very much fits well over that emotional struggle type of narrative. As do most styles of music, only depending on what you like to hear. The elements in the song are acoustic and kept simple but placed precisely where they need to be. Tayler Holder’s vocal is upfront and flawlessly delivered, sounding clear and crisp. The acoustic instruments complement his voice very well, and sound like they always belonged together. Whether you are a fan of country, pop, both or none, I highly suggest you go listen to this new track by Tayler Holder! See what you think.
