Rumours of Robbie Williams and Adele teaming up have firmly been put to bed after Robbie revealed that he would be too scared to even ask her.

Robbie’s next album will be similar in style to Swing When You’re winning with lots of big band numbers so people speculated that it would be the perfect project for him and Adele to team up on.

Robbie himself said: "She's my mate and I'm absolutely terrified to ask her! I haven't asked her and I won't be asking her because the whole world wants to sing with Adele right now.

"Her and my wife Ayda are really good friends and I'm really good friends with Simon, her boyfriend. We're good pals but I wouldn't ask Adele to sing on my record."

He may not be having the Skyfall singer on hi album but Robbie has confirmed that Michael Buble will be appearing in a UFO themed track that the two are working on.

Adele has apparently been back in the studio and could be working on the follow up to her massive hit album 21. Apparently she is planning to produce an edgier sound and has enlisted the help of the likes of Florence Welch and the Arctic Monkeys to do so.
