Coldplay to play T in the Park

Coldplay will be one of the bands headlining this years T in the Park festival along with the Arctic Monkeys and US act the Foo Fighters.
The headliners have been announced by DF Concerts and founding partners Tennent's Lager for the festival which will take place at The Lighthouse in Glasgow later this year.
Other bands that have been confirmed for the Scottish festival in July include The Script, Pulp, Blink 182, Blondie, Ke$sha, The Saturdays and Brandon Flowers.
Brit award winners, fresh from their success at the show this year will also be taking to the stage including British rapper Tinie Tempah, Essex singer Jessie J and Plan B with his soulful tunes.
Welsh crooner Tom Jones will be bringing a touch of the traditional to the festival with the multimillion album selling artist making an appearance at T in the Park for the first time in his career.
Festival director for DF Concerts, Geoff Ellis, said: “I am really pleased with our artist announcements and proud to deliver a whole host of bands including many that T in the Park fans told us they wanted to see when we surveyed them post event.”
He added: “We are delighted that T in the Park is the festival that bands want to play at and music lovers want to be at.”
A full list of all the band due to play at the festival on all the various stages is yet to be announced with some unsigned talent being added to the list in a bid to showcase new talent at the festival.
Fans eager to be at the event need to act quickly as the remaining tickets for the festival, which is to take place between July 8 and 10, will be going on sale to the public this Friday from 9am.
