Rapper Nikki Minaj unveiled not just tracks from her debut album and her new lipstick product this week, but also her versatility in colouring her hair. The rapper which has gained plenty of respect from the singles she released this year, showed her blond locks with green tips last weekend at the American Music Awards, and promptly swapped the green tips for a rainbow effect for her album and lipstick promotion just 48 hours later.

Many women need a new outfit for a big occasion, Ms Minaj needs a new hair colour.  Her stylists are really earning their cash.

Nikki Minaj’s new album, Pink Friday, features many of the singles that have proved so popular over 2010. At one point the star had seven songs in the Billboard Top 100 simultaneously, and was the first female rap artist since 2002 to top the rap chart without also featuring a male star.

To promote Pink Friday, the artist performed tracks from it at Best Buy Union Square in New York, before promoting her new lipstick at the Mac Store in Times Square. Her hair colour and unique dress sense however, were the most talked about features of the day.
