Scenes of teen sensation Justin Bieber, covered in blood and lying lifelessly are no cause for alarm as the young star was only acting in his latest project for the television show CSI screened in the US yesterday (February 17).

Justin Bieber returned to the hit US television show in the role of Jason McCann, a character he played on the crime solving drama first back last September.

But this will be the last time that the character Jason McCann makes an appearance on the show as the young star ends up being shot in the episode.

The demise of Jason McCann comes as the teenager is involved in a stand off situation between himself and the CSI team following the TV sleuths working out that he was the mastermind behind a house bombing.

Bieber's character starts to shoot at the CSI agents and lands up being shot himself in the scene which is sure to attract viewers keen to see their idol in action on the small screen.

Regular CSI star George Eads said that “in the context of the story” Bieber's character deserved to get shot.

This isn't the first teen star to meet a grizzly end at the hands of Eads on the show, Taylor Swift was also a victim last year.

“I think in a way I was also at fault for killing Taylor Swift, too. Man, I'm going to have to stay way from a lot of people. Tell Miley Cyrus not to come on our show!”

Bieber, who currently promoting his movie “Never Say Never” tweeted about his performance from across the pond: “Everyone back at home make sure to tune into CSI tonight!! Jason McCann is BACK!!#badass”.
