With world now anxiously waiting for the arrival of the American version of the X.-Factor and news of who will be the new judges shaping the future of a new star back in the UK, television bosses at ITV are fighting to keep the interest in the UK version of the hit talent show.
ITV chief executive Adam Crozier has said that despite no confirmation of Simon Cowell's involvement in the show this year that they have a deal to screen the show for the next three years.
Adam Crozier said: “I understand why this is such a sexy story, for want of a better word, but our relationship with Syco (Simon Cowell's company) has never been stronger, we have struck the first long term deal for Britains Got Talent and X-Factor.”
Simon Cowell has said previously that he is fully committed to both the UK version of X-factor and Britains Got Talent but already he has missed out on the re recorded audition stage of Britains Got Talent.
Now Piers Morgan has given up his position on the show and Simon Cowell is otherwise engaged it is down to Amanda Holden to hold the fort with her new judges David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre to join her on the panel.
The panel for the X-Factor in the UK however is still very much up in the air.
“We are not due to make decisions on X-Factor yet for a couple of months, there are a number of options. I can absolutely confirm for any avoidance of doubt that Britains Got Talent will appear in the spring and X Factor in the autumn.”
