Boyband Blue have famously reunited to take part in the upcoming Eurovision song contest as the UK entry and have now revealed that the song that they hope will be taking them to victory will be performed on the Graham Norton show aired on the BBC on Friday (tomorrow).
The song the band will be performing at Eurovision during the live contest held in Germany on May 14 is entitled “I Can” and the band members are confident that it will not be receiving the dreaded “nul point”.
Simon Webber from the band said: “We don't see this as career suicide even though a lot of people will see it that way, It's a great way to show we are a live group and we are back after 10 years.”
Duncan James added: “How many times do you get to represent your country? People always say the UK aren't particularly liked in Europe and we don't get the points but they're trying to change block voting so it becomes less political.”
Journalists were played a version of the song during a press conference in London today (Thursday) which the public will be able to hear on the Graham Norton show.
The band described he song as “anthemic” and a “perfect choice” for Eurovision and remain confident about their chances in the competition however they have some high profile competitors coming up against them with X factor stars Jedward taking part for Ireland and last years winner returning to the stage for Germany.
The controversial winner from Israel in 1998, Dana International will also be making a return to the contest with fans eager to see what antics will accompany the act.
