Guitar Hero 3 has smashed the current record as being the biggest video game money generator in USA history. Legends of Rock has even beaten Call of Duty Black Ops.

The game which often comes as a package with a plastic guitar, lets you play along to popular rock songs has raised over $830 million. Not far behind Black Ops is at $787 million. These statistics are recorded in the USA by a company called NPD. First recordings began in 95 where Super Mario brothers generated 18 million.

Guitar Hero 3 is a must for any music fan, since its introduction, the guitar shaped controller is the nearest experience that any guitarist can get to playing Aerosmith or ZZ Top. In fact there is a vast song list on the latest 'Legends of Rock game giving anyone the chance to play along to their favorite rock tune.

Music Talkers previously tested out Guitar Hero 3. We found it was a very addictive experience which really gave the feel for playing the guitar. Obviously its very different to the real thing but having real previous guitar experience does seem to give an edge in the timing of the songs.

As technology continues to get better so does user experiences, as far as Guitar Hero who knows what will happen in the future.
