The famous blues-rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter Joe Bonamassa is about to drop a new album called “Redemption”. The official release date of the album is September 21, 2018, however, it’s available now on pre-order.

This new solo album is the 13th for Joe and includes 12 brand new, original songs. “Redemption” is all about exploring themes of rebirth and redemption, as the title of the album suggests.

Bonamassa has recently commented about this, explaining: “I’m going through some other stuff in my life I didn’t expect to be going through. It’s a rising, it’s contrition, it’s acceptance, it’s everything. It’s painful, but knowing that there’s a rising coming."

Redemption was recorded across several studios and locations-  perhaps this let him achieve the exact sound and style he was looking for. These include two renowned Nashville studios - Blackbird Studios and Addiction Sounds Studios, and Additionally, Studio At The Palms in Las Vegas, The Criteria Hit Factory in Miami and The Cave Australia in Sydney.

This latest album also features many top musicians, to mention just a few “Redemption” features bassist Michael Rhodes, drummer Anton Fig (David Letterman Band), horn players Lee Thornburg and Paulie Cerra, keyboardist Reese Wynans, harmony vocalist Gary Pinto, background singers Mahalia Barnes, Jade McRae, Juanita Tippins.

It’s also interesting to see that on this album there are two additional guitarists - Doug Lancio and Kenny Greenberg. In response to this, Joe has said:

“It was interesting, because having two extra guitar players involved, allowed me to play a certain way.”
