Quotable Lyrics
Now that we number one, I gotta run, the deal is done
I don't need no sleep, I've been at it over a week
Can't work as hard as me but wanna eat
…
That hype sh*t won't get you nowhere
That type sh*t won't get you nowhere
Stop tellin' people that we've been tight
That hype sh*t won't get you nowhere
And I love when they be thirstin'
Although her rise to fame has skyrocketed in recent years, H.E.R has been pursuing her passion for music for nearly a decade. Many were first exposed to her beautiful vocals on Radio Disney’s music contest “Next Big Thing” back in 2009. Since then, H.E.R has received public support from several legends in the music industry like Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and Usher. As an artist, H.E.R continues to stay true to herself and it is evident in her musical success. As a result of her authenticity in addition to her mind-blowing singing and songwriting, H.E.R was awarded two Grammys this year for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance for her song “Best Part” with Daniel Caesar. At the young age of 22, H.E.R continues to reach new heights and each one is well deserved.
