Drizzy Drake is back at it again and this time he’s throwing it all the way back. The OVO artist has released the perfect care package for his fans. His “newest” released album is a compilation of 17 previously released, and widely recognized, singles.
From his iconic melodies on “Girls Love Beyonce” to the 2013 track “The Motion” produced by Sampha, the throwback album is possibly the best gift Drake could give to his die-hard fans. Today we highlight some of the most recognized lines from the album that have stood the test of time
Trust Issues (2011)
One of the most vulnerable and intimate tracks we’ve gotten from the artist throughout his entire music career
“So you're the only one, 'cause I don't trust these b*tches
I don't, I don't trust these b*tches, they might catch me slipping
So you're the only one. Oh-woah, trust issues”
The Motion (2013)
A Soundcloud single Drake dropped predating his album “Nothing Was The Same”
“It's not me and you, it's not me it's you
You're reckless and you know it, they don't love you like I do”
Girls Love Beyonce (2013)
In collaboration with James Fauntleroy and Cocaine 80’s, Drake creates one of the most original remixes to Destiny’s Child “Say My Name”
“Look, I know girls love Beyoncé. Girls love to f*ck with your conscience
Girls hate when n*ggas go missing and shawty you ain't no different”
How Bout Now (2014)
A single Drake released the day after his 28th birthday promoting his album “Views”
“Yeah, you ain't really f*ck with me way back then But how 'bout now?
'Cause I'm up right now and you stuck right now”
Days in The East feat. Rihanna (2014)
Another secretive track the artist dropped on his blog in the middle of the night.
“Remember one night I went to Erykah Badu house. She made tea for me
We talked about love and what life could really be for me
She said, "When that shit is real, you just know"
