Just last weekend, the rising country singer and songwriter Tyler Childers released his sophomore album “Country Squire”.
Many country music fans have already taken a liking to the 9-track musical project and popular songs like “All Your’n” and “House Fire” have racked up over 2 million plays on Spotify, so it's safe to say the Kentucky native is doing well for himself.
“Country Squire” was co-produced by Grammy winners Sturgill Simpson and David Fergusun in Nashville, Tennessee. The title of the album even stirs up conversation considering it's been said that Childers desires to build a “castle” like house for himself and his family in Kentucky, thus making him a country squire. Thus, the chorus on the first track is very fitting, hence “Spending my nights in a bar room, Lord. Turnin' them songs into two-by-fours. Dreaming about the day that I’m sitting by the fire. Huddled with my honey in the Country Squire”. Childers does maintain an ambitious tone throughout the entire album with tracks like “Gemini“ and “Matthew” highlighting his motivation to succeed in the music industry. Additionally, from talking about sexual temptations on “Ever Lovin’ Hand” to the family messages told on “Peace of Mind”, this album documents some of the most important aspects of the country singer’s lifestyle making it surely worth the listen.
