Yes, we know the title is controversial. However, rock lovers this one’s for you. The English rock band, The Darkness, has premiered the music video for their new single ‘“Rock And Roll Deserves To Die” and rock and roll fans are loving it.
The cinematic visual, directed and produced by Sitcom Soldiers, starts with a live music performance of all the band members in tuxedos. Shot from multiple different angles, the music video encapsulates the scene so well that viewers feel as though they are witnessing the show live. Together with dark emotions portrayed on each members’ face, the lyrics sung on the track will create chills down your spine.
Recognizable Lyrics:
Rock and roll your time has finally come
I am afraid you must die
Rock and roll your time has finally come
Now I'm afraid you must die
Established nearly two decades ago, the band is still releasing new music. Their new single is just a preview of their highly anticipated album Easter Is Cancelled to drop October 4th. Both the new single and the album signifies the beginning of a new time for rock music. The bass player of the band, Frankie Poullain, speaks on the new song and Easter is Cancelled as a concept album with the following comment: “A lot of bands have relinquished their duty. Rock and roll is so uniform now. Everybody dresses the same, looks the same, sounds the same. It’s pathetic. It deserves to die. Let’s kill the cliché. Let’s break the crucifix. That’s partly what the album is about.”
