Summer is not over just yet! With an album artwork popping in bold, hot colours of the summer, Terri Gold has created yet another infectious tune to celebrate what it is like being a young artist in this day and age.

This singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, once again showcases her versatility at experimenting with a combination of genres whilst at the same time establishing her bubbly, electro-pop, eccentric and immensely unique sound.

Just as how she employed those nostalgic, familiar beeps of video games in her production of ‘Video Games’, she once again plays around with technology in order to capture the essence of the song. Here, she injects the ka-ching of the cash register in the first verse---this instantly lets the listeners know that they’re in for thrilling, sensational ride. The song is a dancy, boisterous delight---embellished with an assortment of synth sounds akin to an arcade machine from the eighties. Right off the bat, Gold’s voice takes off under a fast-paced tempo, her words rolling out with ease as if she is a natural rapper. As she continues singing about the universal language of money, soft rounds of synth percussion pulse in the background, highlighting the incredible work on production done here by Gold and her team. The chorus, however, is a vibrant demonstration of jazz sounds, the trumpets and brass instruments bouncing off each other to create a vivacious dance summer to be played all summer.

The sounds as well as the lyrics reflect on how money, and of course, cash is the burst of motivation for many, many people in the world, especially those who might not feel like they have much to drive them at the moment. It celebrates hustling, working hard and doing what it takes to feel the wonder of coming into some cold, hard cash.  It’s a short song, concluding at just over two minutes, yet the blend of genres, instruments, effects and colours allows this song to transcend beyond its runtime---into the entire summer, one would hope.
