Producers extraordinaire Big Gigantic continue their streak of delivering impassioned, stimulating tracks, with the release of their new single ‘Burning Love’, this time featuring yet another up-and-coming artist Kidepo.

The music duo from Boulder, Colorado has been delighting electronic dance music enthusiasts for close to thirteen years now, having come out with their first studio album, Fire It Up, in 2011. Since then, the duo has gone through the festival circuit quite a few times, with well-received performances at some of the most illustrious venues over the years, including the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, Hangout, Bonnaroo, amongst others.

Quite fortunately, their new single is just as much thrilling as the rest of their discography. ‘Burning Love’ begins off with the hazy vocals, as provided enthrallingly by Kidepo, immediately inviting a mystifying mood, a little surreal but a whole lot of soothing. The melody of the composition is fluid and pleasing, building to a profound chorus steeped in the adoration of love. Most of the verses are dominated by Kidepo’s commanding vocal performance, the young sister ensuring that each and every note is meaningful and realized. The true feat, however, is the insertion of the jazz arrangement following the chorus, something completely unexpected but fits the themes of the song perfectly.

This single is released ahead of Big Gigantic’s upcoming album Free Your Mind, scheduled to be released on 28th February 2020. The album is said to explore the human condition but also examine the drives that motivate us to be our best selves. It is quite an extensive array of subjects being tackled by the duo here but their history have proved that they are more than up for it. They have also announced live dates in celebration of the album, with showings at the Gem and Jam Festival in Arizona as well as venues in Florida and California. Revealing how they deal with pressure, they say;

I feel like there’s always pressure and it works positively and negatively for you but you just have to stick with it. Sometimes it brings you down and you got to keep your head up and sometimes it serves as a motivator to be better and to kick it up a notch.”
