Rock behemoths Guns N’ Roses have confirmed details of their rescheduled UK and European tour dates for next year, after the original run of shows were postponed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The news comes after the LA band announced new dates for the American leg of the tour last week, where support on selected days will come from The Smashing Pumpkins. Details of the support for the UK and European leg is yet to be confirmed.

The new dates will see Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, Melissa Reese and friends play eight dates in June next year, with appearances in Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Ireland, Germany and the UK, where they will play back to back dates at the newly built Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

In a statement published on the band’s official Facebook page and elsewhere, they said: “Hey Gunners, picking up where we left off last week, most of our 2020 European tour dates are being rescheduled to June of 2021. The dates kick off in Lisbon, Portugal on June 2, 2021. Unfortunately, due to routing and venue availability issues that developed during the postponement process a select few shows were not able to be rescheduled and have been cancelled.

“We are forever grateful for your understanding and continued support during these unprecedented times. We are looking forward to getting back onstage.”

The band’s last studio album was Chinese Democracy in 2008, but rumours abound that the group have been working on new material recently.
