Linda Scott’s Million-Selling Single ‘I’ve Told Every Little Star’ Reaches New Generation In H&M Festive Advert

Singer and actress Linda Scott’s million-selling hit ‘I’ve Told Every Little Star’ has reached a brand new generation of fans, thanks to a festive television advert.
The single originally reached number 7 on the Official UK Charts and was recorded and released in 1961 by the American pop icon, at just 15 years old.
It has now been remixed and brought into the current day and is airing in the United Kingdom as this years H&M Christmas advert.
The new version has captured the attention of a whole new generation, listening to the track, thanks to the advert.
Taking to social media, one person wrote:
“This song feels so beautiful, epic, breathtaking and heartwarming at the same time!!”
Another wrote: “Who now knows ‘I’ve Told Every Little Star’ thanks to the H&M advert?”
While a third added: “Hearing this song on the H&M commercial was certainly a shock to me, as I still own this record, which I bought as a kid, when it was first released. It has always been one of my favourites from a wonderful, magical era.”
She released various singles which proved a success in the US, including ‘Don’t Bet Money Honey’, ‘I Don’t Know Why’ and ‘Count Every Star’
Scott also released albums including ‘Starlight, Starbright’, ‘Great Scott!’, ‘Linda’ and ‘Hey, Look At Me Now!’
Linda retired from the music business in the 1970s after spending some time as a backing vocalist, check out Lou Christie's 1969 hit, "I'm Gonna Make You Mine".
She went on to study Theology and she received a degree at Kingsway Christian College and Theological Seminary in Des Moines, Iowa. Linda had one child and is currently 77 years of age.
‘I Told Every Little Star’ has previously featured in the film ‘Mullholland Drive’ in 2001.
