Resolute Juke announces the release of BATTLEFLAGG’s debut EP, The Blood Meridians, available on all major streaming platforms on November 11, 2022. Sitting squarely in the Adult Contemporary Rock and Singer/Songwriter genres, The Blood Meridians tacks between anthem and lament seeking to meet the moment of an anxious age.

The EP was produced by Brit-award winning producer, Chris Potter (Richard Ashcroft, The Rolling Stones, U2), and was recorded at Kore Studios, London in July 2021. Featuring the songs and voice of AD/VOKT (/'adv??k?t/), the EP presents an international cast of musicians, including rising Americana stars, Miko Marks and Effie Zilch, on co-lead and backing vocals, Steve Sidelnyk (Seal, Richard Ashcroft) on drums, Chris Webb (Elton John) on bass, Tim Wells (Ian Brown) on keys, and Steve Wyreman (Leon Bridges, Richard Ashcroft) and Rob Marshall (Humanist) on guitars.

Notably, The Blood Meridians features a cover of Peter Gabriel’s Here Comes the Flood. Forty-five years after its first release, Gabriel’s song is as relevant now as ever. This spare cover leans into its themes of climate degradation, conflict and loss. With only piano, strings and a powerfully emotional vocal, BATTLEFLAGG nails the emotional pitch of anxious times.

We invite you to listen to The Blood Meridians here. For more information about BATTLEFLAGG please see our EPK here.
