Rising alt-rock/pop sensation Towa Bird has been announced as the direct support act for Billie Eilish’s highly anticipated “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR,” produced by Live Nation. Towa will join the tour on November 2, kicking off her run at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA. This exciting collaboration marks a significant milestone for Towa as she continues to make waves in the music industry.

Towa Bird’s debut album, American Hero, released through Interscope Records, has been met with widespread critical acclaim. The album showcases her unique voice and powerful presence in the alt-rock/pop scene. Praised by Billboard, Vanity Fair, DAZED, and Rolling Stone, the latter described her as “the rock & roll firecracker we need right now.”

Vogue has dubbed Towa “Gen Z’s Joan Jett,” and her growing popularity is evident as she embarks on her headlining American Hero Complex Tour this September and October. The tour includes sold-out dates in California and New York, setting the stage for her supporting role on Eilish’s tour. Additionally, Towa will perform at the All Things Go festivals in New York and Columbia, MD, later this month.

American Hero was crafted with the help of notable producers like Alexander 23 (Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae), Luke Niccoli (Carly Rae Jepsen, Gwen Stefani), and Thomas Powers of The Naked and Famous. The album is a dynamic mix of explosive guitar work and emotionally charged songwriting. Towa describes the album as an honest exploration of queer love, filled with vulnerability and deep emotions. “These songs are me being completely honest about queer love and all its essence,” Towa shares. “I grew up listening to so many male-gazey love songs, and it was important to put something out into the world that felt like the music I wanted for myself when I was a kid.”

Influenced by rock legends like The Kinks, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Jett, and Prince, Towa formed her first band at 14 and honed her skills in Hong Kong’s music scene. After two years at Goldsmiths, University of London, she left to pursue music full-time, producing and co-writing for other artists, and gaining global attention with her distinctive guitar style. Now signed with Interscope Records, Towa’s debut album American Hero dives deep into themes of queerness, identity, and the complexities of love, solidifying her status as one of music’s most exciting new voices.
