Former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan is set to release his highly anticipated second solo album, Roadrunner, on October 4th through Blue Rocket Records. Alongside the album announcement, Meighan has dropped his latest single, White Lies, a track that dives into the complexities of truth. This new project marks his return to full force after a whirlwind year of touring.

In 2022, Meighan made his solo debut with The Reckoning, which peaked at #17 on the UK Albums Chart, and reached #2 in the midweek rankings, second only to Ed Sheeran. Over the past year, Meighan and his 5-piece band have embarked on an extensive UK tour and opened for Noel Gallagher, performing to sold-out arenas. Now, with Roadrunner, Meighan aims to build on that momentum, offering fans a blend of explosive energy and introspection.

The 11-track album kicks off with Use It Or Lose It, setting the tone for an electrifying journey. The lead single White Lies is followed by Silver Linings, which slows things down, and the anthem We Can Do It, designed for stadium sing-alongs. Later tracks like Better Life find Meighan in a more contemplative mood, reflecting on life’s overlooked treasures with lyrics like, "Been aiming at the stars / When they’re reflecting in your eyes."

The second half of the album ramps up with a heady mix of love, passion, and chaos before concluding with the fan favorite Would You Mind. Originally offered as a free download, the song has since become an emotional highlight at Meighan’s live shows, often accompanied by fans singing along in tearful unity. “This song has a life of its own,” says Meighan. “You see it when grown men and women sing every word with open arms and tears in their eyes.”

Known for his electrifying live performances, Meighan will continue to tour the UK this autumn. After a well-received performance at the Isle of Wight Festival in June, Meighan is set to join Richard Ashcroft at Audley End on August 3rd, before kicking off a 13-date solo tour in late September, which will take him to cities including Manchester, Glasgow, and Liverpool.

Joining Meighan on stage will be his stellar band: keyboardist/guitarist Bnann Infadel, bassist Ele Lucas, lead guitarist Chris Haddon, guitarist Brodie Maguire, and drummer Gareth Young.
