Gibson TV, the award-winning online network from the iconic American instrument brand, is spotlighting the extraordinary guitar collection of Metallica's Kirk Hammett in the latest episode of its hit series The Collection. Known for its original series on music and culture, Gibson TV offers fans a closer look at some of the world’s most remarkable personal guitar collections. The episode with Hammett, a legendary rock guitarist, gives viewers an insider’s look at the rare guitars and stories behind his historic career.

In this latest installment, Gibson TV’s Director of Brand Experience, Mark Agnesi, travels to Los Angeles to meet Hammett, the multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning guitarist who has been with Metallica since 1983 and formerly played in the band Exodus. Their conversation explores Hammett’s upbringing, his early influences in music, and his journey to becoming one of the most influential guitarists in rock history. The episode showcases Hammett’s impressive guitar lineup, which includes prized pieces like a 1952 Les Paul™ Goldtop, 1959 Les Paul Standard “Greeny,” a 1957 Korina Flying V™ Prototype, and a 1964 J-180 Everly Brothers acoustic, among many other rare instruments.

This release follows Gibson Publishing’s debut book The Collection: Slash, which quickly sold out in its Deluxe edition last year.
