Rising alt-pop artist Fiaa Hamilton is making waves yet again, this time with her hauntingly seductive new single, Boy Like You. Known for her storytelling abilities, Fiaa has taken a darker turn, just after Halloween, with both the song and its chilling, horror-inspired music video. Her fans are already buzzing; one described Boy Like You as her “sexiest and scariest song yet,” capturing its mix of seduction and revenge in lyrics like “God get me through this ‘cuz I’m acting toxic, babe.” Watch the video below.
Fiaa dives deep into dark pop with foreboding synths and ominous vocal effects, building a tension-filled experience that underscores her refusal to be crossed. In the video, she channels a gothic femme fatale, standing defiant in a mugshot scene after exacting revenge on a lover, reminiscent of Gone Girl’s blend of beauty and menace. The stark visuals echo a thrilling mix of intensity and introspection, with Fiaa’s haunting image splashed in blood under the sunlit religious icons of Greece.
“Boy Like You was inspired by a toxic relationship that consumed me,” Fiaa revealed. “It was a painful chapter, but also one of life’s biggest turning points. I wanted the music and visuals to transport listeners to that dark yet empowering place.” She co-wrote the track with Jordan Cosmo (CHINCHILLA) and George Fraser, bringing a fresh take on heartbreak that’s both fierce and unforgettable.
Fiaa’s previous singles, Love War and Rivers In The Night, have also solidified her position as a rising star, earning BBC Introducing airplay and charting on TikTok’s Pop Hits. Love War even hit #8 on TikTok’s Pop Hits chart, showcasing her growing influence on the platform where she won TikTok LIVE’s Breakthrough Star award. She’s also been named one of the UK’s Top 20 TikTok LIVE creators, joining just one other musician in this coveted ranking.
This breakthrough is all the more remarkable considering Fiaa’s journey. Having grown up in the foster care system, she found solace in music and eventually attended The Academy of Contemporary Music. She started giving back by creating music programs for children in foster care, demonstrating her commitment to using music as a form of healing. Her passion even caught the attention of Rag’n’Bone Man, who collaborated with her on the charity single “One Day” after a chance introduction.
With Boy Like You, Fiaa Hamilton is continuing her ascent, bringing fierce storytelling and dark alt-pop flair to a genre that’s ready for her unique voice. She’s an artist whose journey has been anything but conventional—and she’s only just beginning.
