The highly anticipated Roots Picnic is set to return in 2025, promising an unparalleled musical and cultural experience. GRAMMY® Award-winning hip-hop icons The Roots, in partnership with Live Nation Urban, have officially announced the two-day festival's return to its longtime home at The Mann in Fairmount Park. Fans can mark their calendars for Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, 2025, when this iconic event will bring together legendary artists and rising stars.
Tickets and Presale Information Presale tickets will be available starting Monday, February 18, at 10 AM ET and will continue through Thursday, February 20, at 10 PM ET. The general on-sale begins Friday, February 21, at 10 AM ET. Festivalgoers can purchase weekend passes and VIP packages via the official ticketing platform.
A Legendary Lineup The 2025 Roots Picnic boasts a dynamic lineup featuring multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B sensation D’Angelo, who will headline the festival alongside The Roots. Fans will also witness a performance from rock and soul legend Lenny Kravitz, celebrating his latest album Blue Electric Light. Philadelphia’s own Meek Mill will make his first appearance on the Roots Picnic stage, adding to the festival’s hometown pride.
The lineup also includes breakout rap star GloRilla, R&B sensation Miguel, and Afrobeats star Tems, alongside Latto, Kaytranada, Jeezy, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Musiq Soulchild, and many more. Special milestone performances include Jeezy celebrating the 20th anniversary of Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, Musiq Soulchild marking 25 years of Aijuswanaseing, and The Roots commemorating the 30th anniversary of Do You Want More?!!!??!.
New Day Party Lineup For the first time, Roots Picnic will introduce a new day party experience, featuring top DJs and curated events throughout the weekend. Highlights include Trap Karaoke, Kirk Franklin’s Sunday School with DJ Mal-Ski, and The Remedy featuring Rich Medina & Cosmo Baker. Additional events include Philly Black Pride, Dear Summer Festival, and Interna$hional Bounce, ensuring an immersive and inclusive celebration for all attendees.
