One of the most annoying parts of buying tickets are the inevitable and up until now, unavoidable booking fees. This could now become a thing of the past with Amazon starting to expand the type of events it offers tickets for, all without those pesky booking fees.

Recent events that Amazon are now selling tickets for include Bestival and gigs from prominent artists such as Tom Jones and Status Quo, all through Amazon Local.
Geraldine Wilson, general manager of Amazon Local UK said: "We wanted to offer a convenient way for Amazon customers to book tickets to a wide selection of music, theatre and comedy events around the UK in a few clicks.

"To build trust it was paramount that we provided transparent pricing from the start with no hidden extras at the checkout which customers told us can be really off-putting and confusing."
Responses to this new way of buying tickets seem to have been largely positive with many music fans praising this new transparency.

At the moment, Amazon only offers tickets for certain events so they won’t be completely taking over from traditional ticket sites just yet but it’s certainly promising.
