Elvis Keeps Little Mix Album off the Top Spot
Elvis has prevented Little Mix from securing their first number one album in the UK.
The legend continues to perform well in the charts posthumously with the latest offering If I Can Dream – which features reworkings of classic Elvis hits reworked by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The latest Elvis record sold 88,600 copies, meaning it has gained the second biggest sales of any number one album this year.
It wasn’t all bad news for Little Mix as their latest album Get Weird became the highest charting of their albums to date.
Elsewhere in the album chart, Ellie Goulding reached number three with her latest album Delirium and Rod Stewart's Another Country is at four.
Rounding off the top five is the deluxe reissue of the Beatles’ 1.
It’s interesting that there are only two modern artists in the top five and maybe says something about the state of modern music
