Ex Spice Girl Mel C (Aka Sporty Spice) has admitted that things are awkward with her and her ex bandmates after turning down a £2 million deal to reunite with the Spice Girls.

The group who reached the height of their success in the 90's with massive hits like Wannabe; are reuniting in 2017 for a 20 year anniversary tour. The Tour will mark 20 years since the release of their debut single Wannabe, which was a number one smash  hit in several  countries around the world. Mel C's ex bandmates, Mel B, Geri and Emma Bunton, will all be taking part in the reunion tour. However, when asked, Mel turned down the chance to be part of the celebration.

When interviewed by The Mail on Sunday's Event Magazine. She stated: “It's a bit awkward at the moment to be honest. It's going to be, isn't it ? But I do know that we'll get past it.”

The exact figure has  not been revealed as to how much Mel was offered to take part in the tour. However, when asked she did hint at around “A couple million pounds.” She also revealed that at the height of their success in the Spice Girls, she suffered from depression and eating disorders. Stating that she didn't like what she saw in the mirror. When asked why she turned down the deal she stated, “It just didn't feel right to go back.”

The girls reunited  back in 2012 at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London. Mel thinks that should have been their last reunion.
