21-year-old country singer/songwriter Catherine McGrath is kicking off the release of her debut album, Talk of This Town, with a tour across the United Kingdom.

She plans to perform, showcase, and sign copies of her album at various locales of H.M.V. – the popular music retailer.

"Talk Of This Town" is available to buy at HMV stores from 27th July

One of the trend of across-the-pond singers venturing into the country music genre - a trend including UK’s Passenger – McGrath touts praise from Sir Elton John himself, who says that “she’s gonna be a big star.” Additionally, Rolling Stone Magazine states that McGrath features “a hint of early Taylor Swift and a country-pop sound strengthened by serious songwriting chops.”

Among McGrath’s praise from the music industry’s ultra-famous, Hunter Hayes himself appears on Talk of This Town’s track listing.  “Don’t Let Me Forget” - the sixth song on the album - features 26-yr.-old Hayes, a country music icon in his own right accountable for hits such as “Storm Warning” and “Wanted.”

Via McGrath’s YouTube page, she wrote “Don’t Let Me Forget” in Nashville, Tennessee, and was extremely excited to collaborate with Hayes: “We basically wrote (the song) about being in a good place in a relationship early on, and knowing that, like, that beginning-of-relationship feeling is probably going to fade away at some point.”

“Don’t Let Me Forget” - released with a music video - begins with strums of an acoustic guitar, the intro supported visually by nostalgic, “home-recorded” video. The song’s title and its visual intro – featuring McGrath - both hammer in the theme of remembering the past.  A moment later, Hayes is revealed as the videographer of the couple’s memories.

The harmony goes: “Don’t let me forget, your hand in mine, the firefly drives, the time I fell asleep and you carried me inside.” The song calls back to that magic moment at the beginning of a relationship, those initial, physical interactions wherein each touch is electric. “When we were sparks, just the start. Our naïve hearts had never felt that kinda fire.” The song is in fact a story reminiscing about one’s first rendez-vous with love.

McGrath hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is where her tour will commence on album release day, July 27th (5:30pm).  Following, the tour will visit HMV’s in London’s Oxford Street (July 28th, 2pm), Glasgow (July 30th, 5:30pm), and Manchester (July 31st, 5:30).
