Madonna - The queen of pop due a new album by the end of this year
- by Biljana Ivanoska
Madonna will release a new album by the end of 2018. The pop icon has already talked about it in Vogue Italia, saying how Portugal is inspiring her for making new music.
I’ve just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I’ve ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work - the singer has said.
Last year she moved to Lisbon, Portugal along with four of her children. The reason why Madonna decided to live there isn’t about herself though. It’s about her 12-year old son David. The boy’s dream is to continue his career as a professional football player, he has become part of the Benfica’s youth academy team. As a caring mother, putting the kid’s in first place, Madonna immediately made the move. It turned out that this decision influenced not only the children, but also herself.
The Queen of Pop will turn 60 years in a few days, but that doesn’t stop her to make new music and sharing that with her fans. Seems like life and environment in Portugal have huge influence and inspiration on Madonna’s music career. In touch with some local musicians from Lisbon, and cooperating with them, she has started collecting new material for a new album. So by the end of the year, a new, 14th album for this star will be released. Although there aren’t more details about the album, it’s also interesting to mention something that happened last month.
The pop singer Ariana Grande wrote this on her Twitter: “Thank you Madonna, you know why”. So maybe there will be a Madonna-Ariana duet, or maybe something else. However, we’ll have to wait at least few months to see if that will happen.
Until then, a quick reminder about Madonna’s last album; “Rebel heart” was on the market three years ago, in 2015. And behind her she has 12 studio albums, 5 live albums, 6 compilation albums, and 3 soundtrack albums.
Madonna got the title “Queen of Pop” more than 30 years ago, in 1980s. Especially those two decades - 80s and 90s, she was the biggest Pop Diva. Making evergreen hits such as: “Material girl”, “Papa don’t preach”, “Frozen”, “Justify my love”, “Like a prayer”, “Vogue” and many more- she was on the top of the game in pop music.
