Emeli Sande seems to have been quieter than normal in recent years. Her dominance at the 2012 Olympics drew a huge amount of attention and new fans, but her anthems were already known to many after her debut in 2009.

Whilst Emeli Sandi can boast a successful 11 years at the top of her game in the music industry, Ronan Keating celebrates 26 years since Boyzone first grabbed our attention, with Ronan, a fresh faced 16 year old. Life after Boyzone has also seen him busy and he has moved from project to project with huge success.

Before the track starts, you’re already excited to know where it will go. Ronan takes the lead, with a mature, smooth melody line accompanied by a single guitar providing a tranquil start. The bridge and chorus sees both vocals brought together and lifts the tempo and feel of what will certainly become a popular track. The use of gospel choirs to really reinforce the power of the song also adds another dimension to pairs already versatile song. Verse two sees just Emeli Sande, but with guitars and strings added to provide the crescendo. I wasn’t sure that both vocals would work together as they’re both famous for having very distinctive sounds to their melodies, but it works, with the power of Emeli Sande and gentleness of Ronan Keating’s in sections provides a great foil for each other. The production, is as you would expect for these artists, pretty incredible, with balance and texture as near to perfect as you can have.

This marks a really interesting collaboration that I think will be really welcomed by both artists' fans. They have kept their individuality, but at the same time blended beautifully to create a great new song.
