Jessie Ware’s new tune ‘Ooh La La’ is a refreshing, funky earworm that will make you beg for the eighties. Juicy, infectious, and immensely charming; it will undoubtedly send you into a nostalgic trance.

It’s dynamic composition, complete with a number of swift transitions and vocal effects but what really hooks the listener is the killer bassline. The bassline will grab your attention and get your feet moving right off the bat, and it never takes its foot off the gas. It’ a stunning display of instrumentation, and as the song moves into its delectable chorus, Jessie’s songwriting ability surfaces in stunning fashion.

From the whispers in the background to the random chords on the electric guitar, it’s sexy affair from beginning to end, and it’s just the party-of-one anthem we’ve been craving right this moment. The vocal riffs that get going after the chorus are intoxicating and serve as a boisterous homage to the disco era. The most noteworthy aspect of this tune is how it refrains from picking up the pace and shifting gears; it’s perfectly content at maintaining a steady tempo and an irresistible rhythm throughout the proceedings. Jessie ensures that the beat is kept as smooth and suave so that the melody takes its time to lodge itself inside your head.

When the mood is this exhilarating and the production is this scintillating,  all you can do is throw your hands up in the air and sway to the rhythms. Thankfully, that’s exactly the vibe Jessie is going for here. The British singer-songwriter is a woman of many talents; she may have begun her career as a journalist but found out that music was her true calling. She released her fourth studio album last year and even came out with a new single back in February. It’s unknown if ‘Ooh La La’ will be part of an upcoming fifth album but fans will be glad to know that it’s a thriller of a single nonetheless. Something that will go down in the singer’s vault as one of her most luscious, glamorous undertakings.
