Lewis Capaldi may have only been around for a short time, but it would seem strange to imagine a music world without him. With his big personality and comical persona, he has won the hearts and minds of many musical generations. He has the ability to be a performer with real passion and write some wonderfully soulful pop songs.

Many can relate to a life that would be even better when they reach a certain stage, whatever that stage might be. Maybe earning a certain amount of money, a career change, or a family. Lots of young artists will no doubt be thinking that if and when they reach some form of fame, they will automatically become happy! Well, if you're Lewis Capaldi, you have reached quite magnificent heights of fame, and this latest song seems to showcase that it's not quite as glorious as we may think. The demons are still there, and there are always obstacles to overcome.

What strikes you as the song starts is the vocal range Lewis Capaldi starts the song in. It is much lower than we have heard before, and with the simplicity of just a voice and guitar, it gives 'How I'm Feeling Now' a fresh feel. We know when the delivery of the song builds that Capaldi is going to give us some raw passion in the vocals, and with the topic as sensitive as this track is, we can really feel that emotion come through. It has become a trademark and undoubtedly one of the main reasons for his huge success. The production is precise, and the buildup and crescendos are strategically placed to add the power of the song. Overall, this is yet another masterclass in songwriting, production, and performance from Lewis Capaldi.
