The Beatles have been well known in recent years for their point blank refusal to move with the times and sell their music on the Internet. However, they have just recently introduced a brand new app called The Beatles: Yellow Submarine. Although the new is being seen as an app and not an iBook, it is being sold in the iBook section of the app store.
The app allows you to get a glimpse of 14 full colour videos from the original Yellow Submarine. The user will also get a chance to listen to audio sound bites of original Beatles music as well as original music sheets. So, this is great news for anyone who is a bonafide Beatles fan. The app is very colourful and you can click on various objects such as butterflies and listen to soundbites from the original film and listen to the film read aloud.
You can get the app through any iPod, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Just as long as it is running the latest version iOS and you can have access to the app store.
The new graphics were created by graphic designer Fiona Andreanelli. The graphics were created by using original graphics and artwork created by Heinz Edelman for the original 1968 film. The new app is like a mixture of old and new and has been getting a great deal of attention from genuine Beatle lovers as well as lovers of music and music apps.
The app is now available to download from the Apple App store
