Viva Forever 'Spice Girls Musical' Facing the Axe
- in Latest

Viva Forever, the musical based on the music of the Spice Girls could be axed from the West End just weeks after it made its premiere.
It met with mixed and largely bad reviews when it opened back in December and the cast have been playing to a mostly empty theater since. Now The Daily Star has claimed that the show could be in trouble of being scrapped all together.
A spokesperson has denied the rumours saying: "The West End takes a dip this time of year. But the show is doing really well."
Critics have accused the show of being boring and the plot being dull with nothing happening until the final half hour where too much happens at once.
Fans of the Spice Girls have been left disappointed with surprisingly few of their songs being included and where they are, they have been changed so much as to make them unrecognizable.
The Daily Mail reviewed Viva Forever saying of it: so drudgy, so sour and focused on failure"
"The iffy performances, gloomy backdrops and a lamentably slow start" before finishing, "you have the makings of a notable West End flop. It’s almost as if the thing has a death wish."
The Spice Girls were rumored to making a comeback but doubts have been cast over the idea after a huge falling out between Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell.
