UK College Offering Course To Prepare To Enter TV Talent Shows
- in Latest
As well as studying the normal boring subjects like maths and science, students at Bishop Auckland College in County Durham can now also study a very different course.
The college is offering a 17-week course where students can study how to succeed when auditioning for talent shows such as the X Factor.
As part of the course, students will be taught how to sing, perform and prepare for auditions, costing each student £95.
Speaking on behalf of the college, Mike Jinks said: "I've watched X Factor auditions and thought, 'you could have done well but you just weren't prepared for it.
"We will be giving them some home truths... This is not just about saying, 'go on X Factor and you will be famous."
He was also very quick to point out that the course would not be an easy experience for those who take part and he would be expecting maximum commitment and effort at all times.
"We expect them to work hard. We expect them to understand that most people who go on X Factor put a lot of hard work and preparation into it," he confirmed.
The course was inspired by a concert that was performed last year at the college featuring previous winner of the X Factoe Joe McElderry and winner of this year's show James Arthur.
