Simon Cowell has disappointed fans by indicating that he will not be returning for this year's X Factor while attending auditions for Britain's Got Talent.

The king of the talent show is currently in the UK fro the new series of BGT which is currently in the audition stage.

Auditions have been taking place in Cardiff this week and it is rumoured that Cowell is hoping to find another dog act to rival Ashley and Pudsey.

It seems that this will be his only trip to the UK this year as The Sun newspaper reported that as he made his way down the red carpet at the auditions he was asked by fans if he would be returning to the X Factor and he shook his head.

"Simon shook his head. People weren't happy," an onlooker told The Sun.

Even though he might not be returning himself, there is still rumoured to be a shake up in the panel for 2013. Tulisa is facing being axed because of her dwindling popularity with music fans after her latest single and debut album both flopped.

Nicole Scherzinger may not be returning either after hinting that she was only interested in doing one series of the show and would be leaving on a high after mentoring James Arthur who went on to win.
