We've all heard one fan’s urge on YouTube for us to “leave Britney alone” but that is apparently unnecessary as it has been revealed that Britney Spears has been banned from reading gossip about herself online.

A lot has been going on in the star’s personal life recently. She has left the X Factor USA after just one season and she has also just split up with her fiancé Jason Trawick so now her team are reportedly reluctant to leave her alone in case she tries to look up any speculation about herself.

A source close to Britney told Closer magazine: “Britney seems confused and her team want someone with her constantly. They're worried about what she sees and hears and have banned her from using the phone or going online. She speaks to her family on her security team's phone. She's extremely fragile.”

Britney has been subject to a conservator-ship since a breakdown in 2007 during which she shaved her head and when she broke up with Jason, she also lost one of her legal conservators in him. People close to her are worried that she may now be close to another breakdown.

It was recently revealed that Britney was in talks over a Las Vegas residency though her team are worried that she may not be in the right state of mind to take on such a gruelling schedule.

'It would be mentally and physical gruelling and, at the moment, she seems to be barely getting through the day,' a source said.
