Fall Out Boy Guitarists Denies Rumours of a Reunion
- in Latest
Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman has denied rumours that the band will be getting back together in 2013.
Rumours have been flying recently after several music sites claimed that sources had told them that the band would be making a comeback.
In response, Trohman took to Twitter to deny that there would be a reunion any time soon. His tweet read: “The rumours are still untrue, unreal & totally outta this world! *shreds gnar, does surf's up hand signal*. Seriously, it's not going down."
His announcement proved unpopular with fans of Fall Out Boy on Twitter who didn't want to believe that the band would not be reuniting any time soon. Trohman even retweeted one particularly angry fan response: "Finally! I was sick of people liking me. RT @JamieStrike: @trohman It's not a true until Pete [Wentz] says so. Nobody like you, f**k off." Clearly, the comment struck a chord with the guitarist.
The four members of Fall Out Boy: Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley and Trohman have not been seen together since the release of their greatest hits collection, “Believers Never Die” in 2009, despite a strong fan base that is dying to see their return to the stage.
