The Voice Set to Clash With Britain’s Got Talent
- in Latest
The Sun has revealed that The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent will be going head to head in a war for ratings.
The first live show of the news series of BBC’s The Voice will clash with the final of Britain’s Got Talent which means that bosses of both shows may be fearing that they will take a bashing in the ratings.
An insider told The Sun: "Putting The Voice's first live show up against the Britain’s Got Talent final is a bold move.
"But The Voice is coming back stronger this year and bosses are confident any teething problems experienced last time have been erased."
A spokesperson for the BBC also said: "The Voice series 2 live shows will start on June 8. We aren't aware of a date for the Britain’s Got Talent final."
Creator of Britain’s Got Talent Simon Cowell doesn’t seem too concerned that there is a threat to the show’s ratings and spoke out about the supposed rivalry between the shows saying: "Everyone kind of predicted doom and gloom [last year] and then the word of mouth spreads, and in the end we beat them.
"I don't take anything for granted.
"We push these producers like crazy to try and make a better show than we did the year before, but it actually will rest on how good the talent is or how bad it is."
