Beyonce has been left red faced after it emerged that her publicist tried to get unflattering images of the star during her Super Bowl performance removed from the internet.

The website that posted the pictures in question was BuzzFeed and they were featured under the title “The 33 Fiercest Moments From Beyonce's Halftime Show”.

The website later received an email from a representative of Beyonce requesting that the be replaces with some that were more flattering.

In the email sent to the website, Beyonce’s publicist said: "Thanks for taking my call. As discussed, there are some unflattering photos on your current feed that we are respectfully asking you to change. I am certain you will be able to find some better photos.

"The worst are #5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 19 and 22.

"Thank you very much.

"Yvette."

Far from being compliant and removing the aforementioned pictures, they instead posted a new list that was entitled “The "Unflattering" Photos Beyonce's Publicist Doesn't Want You To See”.

BuzzFeed later posted a screen cap of the email that was sent to them and added: "BuzzFeed emailed asking for further explanation but didn't receive a response."
