Lady Gaga’s first fragrance FAME has proved a success after it was revealed that it has sold over 30 million bottles since it was first released last year.

As well as the huge milestone, Lady Gaga also revealed that it was the 8th top selling brand of the year.

The star posted to her Twitter account: "Wow! FAME the fragrance had officially sold 30 million bottles and is the 8th most successful brand for the year! Thank you fashionistas!"

According to its packaging, FAME apparently contains: "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops." All natural stuff then.

Upon its release last year it was also claimed that it was the first ever black perfume. It is black when it is still in the bottle and then becomes clear when sprayed on and it is apparently the first ever perfume to do so.

Lady Gaga is currently busy working on her next album which is going to be titled  “ARTPOP” and has recently been tweeting with hints as to the names and lyrics of some of the songs that will be included on the album.
