Beyonce Claims There Aren't Enough Strong Women in Music
- in Latest
Beyonce has condemned what she calls a lack of powerful women in the music industry today.
She revealed her thoughts about the state of women in music during an interview with The Gentlewoman magazine, saying that she fears that there are too few women who are following in her footsteps.
The singer, who calls her on-stage alias Sasha Fierce told the magazine: "I'm controlling my content, controlling my brand and archiving it for my daughter and making sure she has it and she respects it but there’s not enough of us that become moguls."
Beyonce herself is reported to be worth over $300 million and has enjoyed huge success all over the world having sold a whopping 75 million albums.
In 2011, she became CEO of her own brand, taking over the role from her father who managed her career from an early age.
She continued: "I just have memories of when there was no air conditioning in the new building and we didn't have an office. It was like camping,"
It was recently revealed that Beyonce could be putting on an intimate show in London at the end of March ahead of the release of her new album, the follow up to 2011’s “4”.
