Leona Lewis Splits From Management But is Still Planning to Release Fourth Album
- in Latest
Leona Lewis has allegedly parted ways with her management company in an “amicable split”, but is reportedly still working on her fourth album which record label Syco are still eager to release.
Lewis had been managed by Modest! since she shot to fame after winning the X Factor back in 2006 but the split from them comes barely a few weeks after her latest single massively flopped.
“Lovebird” failed to even make the top 200 and allegedly only managed to sell a meagre 600 copies.
She is the latest in a string of X Factor alumni to leave the management company following in the paths Alexandra Burke, Stacey Solomon and Rebecca Ferguson.
Even though the move has cast doubts over the future of Leona’s music career, a statement from Syco states that they have no plans to drop her any time soon and still see her as an important artist on the label.
The statement says: “Leona Lewis is one of the UK's most successful artists, one of a few that have enjoyed huge global success in recent years selling more than 20 million records worldwide."
"She will begin the recording of her fourth album imminently to be released later this year. She remains a key priority artist for Syco and for Sony Music Worldwide."
