Lindsay Lohan Loses Legal Battle With Pitbull
- in Latest
Lindsay Lohan has lost her lawsuit against Pitbull which she filed because the rapper used her name in his song “Give Me Everything”.
The line in question in the song is one that goes "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan" and Lindsay claimed that she should be given some of the profits from the songs because she didn't give permission for her name to be used.
A federal judge in New York dismissed the actresses claim saying that the song is a form of artistic expression and is protected under the First Amendment which prohibits laws that restrict freedom of speech.
The judge put another nail in the coffin after Lohan tried to claim damages for emotional distress saying that she was barely mentioned in the song.
Lohan hasn't has the easiest of times recently but she won’t be getting the money to help with her financial problems from this lawsuit.
Recently it was revealed that actor Charlie Sheen came to her rescue, lending her $100,000 after she was unable to pay her rent.
She has also had trouble with the law after she was charged with assault for hitting a woman in a nightclub.
