Lamb of God Front Man Found Not Guilty of Manslaughter
- in Latest
Front man of the US metal band Lamb of God, Randy Blythe has been cleared of causing the death of a fan back in 2010.
The incident occurred at a concert in Prague and happened after Blythe pushed Daniel Nosek, 19 year old fan off of the stage during one of the band’s performances.
Nosek hit his head when he fell and died of his injuries several weeks later. This resulted in Blythe being accused of his manslaughter.
Prosecutors were seeking to get Blythe a five year prison sentence but the judge in charge of the case ruled that Blythe’s actions had not constituted a crime.
Blythe himself wasn’t aware of Nosek’s death until he was arrested at Prague airport when the band was returning for another gig in the country.
Blythe commented on Instagram saying: "I have been found not guilty.
"I am a free man".
He later urged fans to turn their thoughts to the family and friends of Nosek saying: "please remember the family of Daniel Nosek in your thoughts and prayers in this difficult time".
Prosecutors have started an appeal against the verdict but for now at least, Blythe remains a free man.
