Britney Spears has revealed that she would like to be taken more seriously in every aspect of her career.

There were fears that she would have another meltdown after her recent split form her fiancé, similar to the one she suffered back in 2008 where she shaved her head bald.

According to reports, her mother Lynne Spears warned Britney that she needed to take more care with her appearance after she was seen looking dishevelled following the breakup and has recently been spotted looking much more polished.

An insider told Heat magazine: “Britney has listened to her mom's advice. She really wants to be taken seriously in her career and not let things spiral out of control again.

“All of her affairs are handled by either her lawyers or by her dad Jamie. Changing her hair colour may seem trivial, but it's the one thing she has total say over.”

The lack of control that she has is due to a conservatorship which she was placed under after her last time of trouble and means that all decisions are made for her by a few close people.

Britney is doing well at the moment, having just started dating a new man called David so hopefully her problems are long behind her.
