According to recent reports, Rihanna is planning on taking a year-long hiatus from music.

MTV have reported that Ryan Seacrest announced on his radio show that Rihanna would be taking the break before she starts work on her next studio album.

He told his listeners: "She's been in this go mode for a while. Seven hit records in seven years.

"Sold-out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps, she plans to take up to a year off to unwind."

There were rumours last month that Rihanna had been approached to headline the Pyramid Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

A source said: "Beyonce stole the show two years ago and there's no reason why Rihanna can't do the same. She's got a huge back-catalogue and is undoubtedly the biggest female artist around at the moment bar Adele."

It was also revealed earlier this month that Rihanna is internationally the most streamed female artist on Spotify, beating the likes of Britney Spears and Taylor Swift to the title so she is most certainly one of the most popular female artists at the moment.

As well as being hotly tipped to perform at Glastonbury, he is also appearing at the Open’er festival in Poland so she is also one of the busiest artists at the moment so a break should definitely be on the cards.
